Environmental degradation and climate change are closely related to the way humans perceive nature merely as an object for exploitation. This desacralization of nature has led humans to ignore the deeper meanings embedded within natural phenomena. In contrast, Islam views nature not only as a creation of God that must be preserved but also as a collection of divine signs that function as a medium of communication between God and humanity. This study aims to examine the Islamic perspective on the relationship between humans and nature, particularly in understanding nature as a medium that conveys divine messages. Using a qualitative library research method with a conceptual analysis approach, this article explores the theological and philosophical foundations of the human–nature relationship in Islamic thought. Thefindings indicate that although there exists an ontological distinction between humans and nature, communication can still occur through the symbolic meaning of natural phenomena as manifestations of divine signs. This perspective encourages humans to develop a more ethical and reflective interaction with nature, recognizing it as a medium through which humans can understand the wisdom and guidance of the Creator
